Activities/Warmup websites NOT requiring use of the Web!

Post by Gringo_in_Mexico » Wed Mar 22, 2006 4:56 pm

I am in the beginning of an EFL course of study here in Mexico. One of our major assignments is to create 10 Activity cards or sheets by this week that can be used in the classroom for groups or pairs or the whole class.

In this forum links were given to websites that require that puzzles or word games be played ONLINE, using JAVA, JAVASCRIPT or FLASH!

I need to go to a website that gives me ideas for warmups, icebreakers or pair or group activities that DO NOT REQUIRE USE OF A COMPUTER OR ANY TECHNOLOGY WHATSOEVER. These need to be written down and usable for a group of students to use in an old-fashioned regular English instuction class. Please help! Thanks.

You need to search for sites for teachers not sites for students. Here are some sites with activities and game ideas:

www.mes-english.com
www.bogglesworld.com
www.genkienglish.net
www.eslflow.com
www.sitesforteachers.com (a searchable database of teacher sites)

There are hundreds more, but you should be able to make 10 cards using any of those sites.
