1st time teach needs help.

I am a first time teacher in a China college. This is my first time teaching and I'm overwhelmed. I'm trying to find good activiest for freashmen Oral English classes about 2 hours long and about 40 students per class. My school dean when I asked for help looked at me with a puzzled look on his face and told me to "go teach". Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Please look at the sticky above yours called, "Some Advice on Large Classes" to get some ideas from people in similar situations. Some other threads might be helpful as well.
