Asian Gate

Hey Everyone,
One of my favorite aspects of working with younger learners (as well as older ones) is decorating my classroom. I usually try to do a theme based on a season, holiday, or place. This year, I am going to have a lesson on the Lunar New Year and have been designing red and gold lanterns as well as a really cool 4 foot tall gate. This gate is actually not too hard to create. It ´s just made from cardboard, mailing tubes, popsicle sticks, paint, and some glue. Here are the images of the gate as I have made it so far. I ´m pretty sure my young learners are going to enjoy seeing this on my desk in the coming weeks. ^_^
