Need an idea for a demo lesson

Post by justley » Wed Apr 21, 2004 3:12 am

I need an activity for a 20 minute demo lesson for Adult Level 4 ESL students. Any suggestions? I have not met the students so I am not sure what they have done in class.

Well, the obvious approach would be to focus on something that *you* are interested in, knowledgable about and enthusiastic about, since you've got to get it across convincingly.

Do you have any hobbies? Any recent travelling experiences? Any particular interests?

If it were me, for example, I'd bring an automatic defibrillator in, explain how it works, teach them basic resuscitation techniques, relevant telephone-numbers and how to get crucial information through, and get them to talk about emergencies of all kinds, if there's still time.

But that would be me.
