In the literacy portion of the integrated lesson, you will need to add specific reading, writing, speaking, and listening components to what you have already developed.

Specifically, think of reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities you will do with your students before they begin their work on computers. How will you use these language arts processes to help your students plan what they will do when they go on line? What useful prereading and prewriting strategies would you include? What discussion strategies will you use to help students develop their research questions and frame their Internet searches? Build in 2-3 specific strategies that students will engage in before they sit at the computer and go “on line.”

Think of specific reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities you can have your students do while they are searching or researching. How will they take notes? How will they understand difficult vocabulary? How will they converse with others about what they are learning? How will they use other print, audio, and media materials besides the Internet to add to their knowledge about the topic? Build in 2-3 specific strategies that students will engage in while they are searching or researching.

Think of specific reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities you will have your students do after they have completed their searching or researching. What other ways can they present information to their classmates besides using technology? Build in 2-3 specific strategies for sharing information that do not involve the use of technology.

can you please give me just list of activities that I can create for my lesson. it will take more than one period.

Regards.

You know, it seems like this is an assignment for some kind of class you are taking. Surely you have some ideas for activities? I imagine you would get a bigger response if you came up with some ideas you wanted to use and then asked the people here what they thought of them. I am certainly willing to comment on things and give ideas, but I'm not taking your course! I think we, as teachers, understand that assignments are often given to students to make them think. Perhaps yours is one of those?
