First-Hand Feedback on Callan Method?

Post by Lamya Al Kooheji » Thu Feb 17, 2005 9:13 am

Hello :)
I'm an English language teacher and have come across the Callan Method, which is very unusual but it promises a lot. It sounds worth it for people who want to learn a lot in a short period of time but for lower levels. However, going through others' feedback (including one in this forum) I can see that there is lots of argument about it. Has any body taken part in teaching or attending such classes or heard from one who did so? If so, what is your feedback? Are their claims true? Do you think we can get enought teachers who would be able to follow the method? It sounded very challenging.

Search under "woodcutter" and "callan method' on this forum. I think I've mentioned it once or twice...........

No, you won't be able to get a lot of teachers, not round here!
