Could you tell the difference between closed pair work and open pair work? What does closed pair work involve? And what about open pair work? Please help! I was planning a lesson and while reading about work arrangement in L2 classrooms I ran across these terms , which I didn't really understand. Many thanks

I have done lots of research on cooperative learning and have never heard those terms.
A brief look on the internet defined the terms as
Open pair work: Open or public work of a pair for the rest of the class.
closed pair work: all pairs work at the same time.

thanks very much. that's very helpful. Me, either. Never heard of the terms before I came across them the other day.
