Anyone know good activities for private intermediate level students? Most of the game in activity books require at least 4 students.

What is the focus of the class? Is it intergrated skills, or are you working on something specific eg. writing or business English?

Also how many students do you have?

There is only one student and he is learning intermediate English. No-specific purpose.

Sorry, you are still a bit vague, but I appreciate your problems.

Pairwork will still work, you provide the other member of the pair.

For grammar: P.Ur, Grammar Practice Activities (good for groups, but a lot of stuff can be used/adapted for one on one.) [If I had to recommend one book for elementary to intermediate grammar for adults this would be it!]

Reading: possibly look at doing extensive reading with graded readers. (Penguin does a good series, I here the Cambridge series is good, but I have not used them personally.) The book should be something the student wants to read and should not be too challenging (you want the student to be able to read it reasonably quickly,) maybe 2 to 4 new words a page. The book can then be used as a basis for discussion and writing in class.

Writing- difficult to say, depends on what you want to work on, eg. grammar & sentence structure, letter writing, paragraph development.
