I realise that there is already a thread about this, but I could do with some help.
I am planning to work on a Summer Camp in Slovakia, where the children speak no English (part of my role is to teach them the language)
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do as an icebreaker? Bearing in mind that we will be unable to communicate using language

I find that comic shtick is really a good way to get kids relaxed and on your side. It's a lot like street preforming.

If you can do a little juggling, don't be shy.

Ask for the kids names and say everyone of them wrong, they'll start screaming to correct you and just say it wrong again. (This is a good intro to teaching Ss language introduction.)

Physical humor is huge! Don't be afraid to pretend to hurt yourself and then blame one or all of the Ss for it.

Magic! Even silly stupid magic goes over well.

These are some things I do in the first few minutes of first lessons with kids to break the ice, get them to relax and understand we're here to learn and have fun.
