Koreans ESL students, a different type of learners

I have a private Korean student here in our country. The first hour is science and and 2nd hour is ESL. There's no problem with science subject, he's very good. but when it come to ESL, I observed some problems with him. One day, we had our speaking class, I give him 10 minutes time listening the Korean song and after that I ask him to say something about the song in english (he did it, actually). After that I ask him to read a Korean news in a newspaper, and again, I ask him to say something about the news he just read. We ended our lesson with a smile and a "say you later". But, when Im already home, I recieved a text from our head teacher that my student is complaining about me for being not sincere in teaching, its because I do not teach him whats in the book and I just let him listen the song and read the news. wew! I think, this msg will help those Korean students specially in the Philippines that, we as a teacher are really sincere and heartily didicated in teaching them. And we are always seek for a new strategy that best help and suit them as a unique learner. We are asking a simple favor to you out there, that If you have problem with your teacher, just feel free to talk to theme/us. After all, we know what we're doin'
