Hi all,
I am teaching English at a management college in China. One of the classes I teach is an enrichment/activity class where free speaking and listening activities are encouraged. The students are between 18-20 and, if all goes well, will eventually go on and study business at the school.

I would like to have them create a family tree and, I am looking for some visual examples (nothing as complicated as the offical family tree web sites offer). I want them to use their creativity and different material. The final tree will be put up on the wall later.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't remember where I got it on the web exactly but Donald Duck has a family tree that is really interesting to kids. I don't know if your young adults know about Donald Duck but I just blew it up from the website and whited out the names. Some students brought in pictures of their relatives to paste over the Donald Duck relatives where appropriate or drew their own cartoon version of their relatives. There is also a family tree for one of the Japanese cartoons but can't remember the name at the moment. It would be interesting if family trees overlapped wouldn't it?
