director problems

I am teaching in Korea, and I have decided to terminate my contract 8 months into the 1 year period initially agreed upon. The contract allows for this instance, with no penalties, just as long as I give at least 6 weeks notice. However my director is threatening to deduct some funds from my wage, because the room I am staying in has 1 year lease on it. That is not in the contract, and I would never have resigned if I had known this. Does anyone have any advice, and if necessary, does anybody recommend the Korean Labor board as people to get in contact with in the case of contract disputes? I am a little annoyed at this development as my stay in Korea has been a good one up until now.
