Can anyone suggest a definitive answer in the quest for differentiating between present perfect and simple past? Does anyone know of any web-based activities?

Play copycat! Have you ever met those annoying gits that have done everthing you have done but before you ever thought of doing it? Explain this kind of person to your students and them get them to behave in that manner. e.g. "I've been to see the new "Lord of the Rings" film this week." Then get the person next to the chosen student to say "Ha! I saw that film last week." Just make a list of things for the students to continue oudoing each other.
