i am tutoring a bored korean 8th grader (intermediate english) who already has been in school too many hours before he gets to me... so i'm desperately in need of ideas for fun activities that can be done WITHOUT a group! the simpler the setup the better. thanks.

Card Games

My site (www.englishraven.com) has a pretty big range of card games that can be really effective in one-on-one teaching. The Conversation Cards in particular could be really appropriate for a Korean 8th grader, as well as When/Who/What/Where? to help him/her get some more grammatical accuracy into basic sentence statements.

My site requires membership to access the materials, but the games are explained online if you want to make your own cards to apply them. :D

Cheers,

Jason
