HELLO! I NEED YOUR HELP. DOES ANUBODY KNOW HOW TO PRESERVE PUMPKINS? I WANT TO MAKE JACK' O LANTERNS FOR HALLOWEEN AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PRESERVE THEM AVOIDING THEIR PUTREFACTION AND HORRIBLE SMELLS IN ORDER TO KEEP THEM FOR NEXT YEARS. IS IT POSSIBLE?
MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE
RAQUEL

Uh...I have never *ever* heard of someone saving a jack o'lantern for the next year. You cut it, use it, look at it, and when it starts to get moldy, you throw it away.

Make the pumpkins from foam or paper mache? St. Michael's stocks foam pumpkins that you can carve just like a regular one. The cutest things this season is to put a little scene inside with small models of cats, bats, ghosts, witches with cauldrons and all is illuminated with small flashlights instead of candles for safety.
