Hi all

I`m a language assistant in Québec, Canada, and one of the teachers has asked me to find an activity for her secondary 2s (about 13/14 years old). She wants me to practice leaving notes, or something like that. Along the lines of:

"I have gone to place X to do whatever. I left at time Y, and I will be back at time Z."

Something like that, anyway. However, I`ve to make it an "interesting game." I`ve wracked my brains (and nearly wrecked my keyboard as I became more and more frustrated!) to try and think of someway to make this fun for teenagers... can anyone help at all?

Do you mean that they want you to do something in particular? What do they mean by "leaving notes?" Can't think of anything at the moment. Perhaps you could get them to write daft notes from historical figures. You could ask them to write a quick "gone out" to Josephine from Napolean such as "Gone to Safeway's. Tell the Generals not to invade until I get back. P.S dinner in the oven" For teenagers, there could be a good few opportunities to do something outrageous. It should keep them happy. Being more scandalous than your classmate is bound to keep the average zit-squeezer well happy.
