gallery of web-based activities

Post by marielle » Mon Oct 16, 2006 1:38 pm

I did set up a gallery of web-based activities at:

http://projects.widged.com/exercist/gallery/

It may be useful to add. For sure some directory of resources already exist. The specificity of this one is that only learning activities are listed. You get direct access to ideas and inspiration.

What I would be interested in doing is separating information about (a) content -- what is the language topic being covered, student's level, rating for its quality, (b) the activity as it appears on the website -- what browser can it run into, what level of interactivity, and (c) the type of activity being implemented. For instance, a traditional MCQ would have the properties listed at: http://projects.widged.com/exercist/drupal/?q=node/738 (advantages, disadvantages, types and variants, tips for writing good items).

This could be organized in a neat ajax-based gallery. But before putting too much efforts into this, I am keen to get an idea of how ESL teachers feel about the interest/value of such a service.
