Hi guys,

An inquisitive student has asked me to teach her class more about how to use "as" and I don't want to wing it.

I've tried google to no avail, could anyone help me out with a good lesson plan that is fairly indepth on "as".

Anything you can offer would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Ichiban

As complicated as it gets...

As is a pretty complicated word and I'd suggest checking the dictionary to get a good idea of it and as many examples as possible.

The six main uses are:
1. COMPARISON
2. FOR THIS PURPOSE
3. BECAUSE
4. WHILE
5. ALTHOUGH
6. LIKE

The Cambridge Learners dictionary has a good definition and examples:

As for a lesson plan based on the word its going to be pretty tricky to find with a search engine, because it is such a common word.
