If you're looking for a conversation lesson on politics over the next couple of days, I've put one up on my website:

http://www.kalinago-english.com/cms/ind ... mples.html

It's written from a non-American perspective and has a great post-task (homework) activity for your students.

Enjoy!

Tip for election conversation

Nice site with good selections from YouTube on Obama and McCain. Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps the election of Senator Obama will dispel some of the ugly, false, and negative misperceptions about the United States. Could a racial minority be elected prime minister in France? Germany? Netherlands? England? Japan? Korea? Taiwan? Could someone raised by his grandparents from a middle class family attend Harvard Law School? Could a candidate with a Muslim father and a very non-traditional name achieve electoral success at age 47?

Perhaps. But I'm glad that the United States is a far better, more democratic country than many leftists outsiders believe too.
