Hi,
My name is Stein Setvik.
I teach ESL in Japan and just launched a new website to make it rediculously easy for ESL teachers to share ESL worksheets.
It's called
Creative Chalk http://creativechalk.com.
If you have a spare minute, check it out and let me know what you think.
Thanks!
- Stein

Very cool! The layout is fresh, neat and easy to navigate.
The only downside is that none of the avatars look like me! : )

I feel a bit suspicious about this site. To make use of any of the materials on it (materials posted for free by other efl teachers) you have to earn download points by getting other people to register on the site. In other words it's a pyramid scheme. This ruins what could have been a very useful resource.
I also noticed in the terms of use that although the site says it doesn't claim ownership of anything posted, it does reserve the right to re-publish material wherever they see fit for a profit without permission (or presumably remuneration) for the one who created it. So in effect they are claiming ownership. If this is so, they should say so openly and honestly.
Having looked at this, I simply would not trust the people who are running it. I think other teachers should beware.

Pretty cool site — going to join up right away. I've been using
AZQQ— which offers similar materials, although doesn't have the 'community' aspect.
I like the fact that both
AZQQ and
Creative Chalk offer word documents, which is great for customization, revision and localization.
AZQQ offers 12 free lesson plans after which they charge a nominal fee via PayPal for access.
Anyway, thanks for posting the link!
