Writing: A Sociocognitive Approach.

Post by moussaid » Wed May 05, 2004 9:23 am

Recent research has consistently indicated that there is a strong positive relationship between the writer's strategy awareness in the composing process and effective essay writing.
Research has also shown that there's statistically significant correlation between one's sense of writing self-efficacy and effective writing performance.
I'm currently engaged in a research project for my MA thesis on self-efficacy and the effect of metacognitive strategy training on planning argumentative writing.
I thereby invite all the interested people to contribute ideas to this area of research.
Finally, i would be very much grateful to any one who could send me a copy of the book of "The Psychology of Written Composition" by Bereiter & Scardemalia. I've looked for it all around the country's bookshops but to no avail.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
