Hello people

Can anyone explain me how am I suppose to say the 'o' letter when the dictionaries represent a /^/ like in love, nothing, brother? Is it possible to say it like /o/ in hot or the /ó/ like in horse?

Is the /^/ in love the same as in But?

The vowel sound in love is the same as the one in but (and nothing and other). It is different from the one in hot, in which your mouth is open more. The sound in horse is a little complicated because of the "r". In some dialects of American English the sound in caught and the one in cot are pronounced the same, although some dialects have a distinction.
