I saw a sentence in a English text book for Chinese :It was a dream come true.
Can you explain why here "come true " not "that had come true" is used ?

I have never thought about it. But maybe it's because it's a set expression and there is some kind of elipsis there ("that had" has been omitted because you can infer it) But I'm not quite sure about it.
