Hi there,
I have just started my job in the UAE. The students over here tend to begin their answer with 'Because' if the question begins with 'Why'. I don't think it is a standard practice for students to begin their answers with a conjunction (especially IGCSE ESL, exercises 1 and 2) as they need to be direct and precise. However, I would be grateful if someone tells me what the university thinks of it (if any rules or practices related to it).
