Glenski did an exceptional job in answering your questions and I really have very little else to offer. My only answer which differs is to the first question. I use the dialogs that are in the students' books, so they can read along. We do another listening section later. I have no disagreement with Glenski's way.
Every other answer I have to your questions matches Glenski's, so I won't waste either or our time going through them.
Thank you for your comment on my posts.
It depends on how well the students acquire the content. You can be flexible with your syllabus.I have each class twice a week. Do you think it would be a good idea to spend 2 lessons on each topic?
I missed this one.
Drilling, choral response to teacher questions using picture cues, or randomly targeting students to use the target content, possibly through demonstration. I do not whole-heartedly reccommend these techniques, but sometimes they can be helpful.5) Could you give me an example of a highly structured (teacher centered) speaking task?
Don't burn yourself out. Enjoy your summer vacation.
