Gauging difficulty in lesson planning
I'm looking for real world experience in dealing with how to gauge diffculty. In all of my textbooks they mention Krashen's i+1 principle of giving students just a bit more than they can handle, but they also make sure to mention this is "usually learned by experience. Would anyone like to give a future teacher some tips? And, if these tips are for the sciences... well, even better!
