Olympics 2004

Post by debskirkby » Fri Apr 02, 2004 7:55 am

So I know this might be kinda early and stuff, but I'm thinking of making some lessons leading up to the Olympics and why not start early!?

So has anyone had particularly good lessons about sports that they wanna share with us?! Any ideas about the Olympics??

Project work: do a bio of a famous sportsperson/your favourite team/your favourite sportsperson

TV sports commentaries: Students write their own commentaries i.e. dub over the original

School survey of favourites to win the medals for each sport, the most medals etc.

Stress in sports names eg. ath'letics

Charades

Group work: Invent a new sport and write the rules
