School newspaper to help finance trip

Dear colleagues,
I'm a French teacher of EFL in Lectoure (south west of France), and I'm going to make my "grade 11" students (16-17 year-olds) publish an 8-page school newspaper every other month. We'll sell it by subscription : 5€ (about $6 or £3.5) for 5 issues from October to June, including postage, to help them finance a trip to Orlando, Florida, where we've started an exchange programme with a high-school.
They'll write on any topic dealing with the English-speaking countries (news, culture, music, sport…), the topics studied in class, or even what you'll ask them for, in the form of articles, interviews, games, cartoons…
This project is going to "mix business with pleasure" for my students, but also for yours, since they'll have the opportunity to read a newspaper written in English by teenagers like them, whose tastes and concerns are similar, and whose (corrected) English can be understood by everyone.
Being a rural school, most of our students' families can't afford to offer them a trip abroad, let alone to the USA. This may be a unique opportunity for these youngsters to go there, and their involvement in their work will be rewarded by your help.
As it is easier for everyone to make whole classes subscribe rather than individual students, we'll offer 5 subscriptions for every 20 paid !
Ex : for a class of 25 students, you'll only pay for 20 subscriptions, which amounts to 4€ per student instead of 5.
Yes, but…
- …if we were dishonest people ?
To prove we're serious, you'll receive my personal and professional addresses and phone numbers, and once you've confirmed your order, you'll be able to pay only after receiving the first issue (late October).
- …if my students couldn't publish the 5 issues in the year ?
School papers have always been a passion for me, and I've been making my students publish some for 4 years now, which has even resulted in a web site thas is now 1 year old (http://www.scoolmag.net - the domain name having changed, it'll only be available by the end of this month).
You'll receive, anyway, my personal and written commitment to refund any issue that would not be received.
Thanks a lot in advance to those who are interested in helping us and, of course, you can count on us in turn for any future similar project for which you would need some help.
Don't hesitate to make your students realise that reading English can be lively and fun !
