project trust teachers need help

Post by gullier » Sun Sep 17, 2006 4:56 am

I, and about 20 other 18/19 year olds are currently in china teaching in middle schools. our goals in being here are not clear.how do we set out for ourselves a curriculum? how do we figure out what it is exactly the students should be learning.

I am currently compiling a list of everyday topics which i hope i can use to instill a list of useful phrases. this seems to be a logical course of action but i don't know how to make every topic stretch to 40 minutes without boring the classes (of 80) and still create a varied approach to my lessons.

i want my students to have a strong mental database of phrases, an understanding of spoken english so they can understand problems they might face but i'd love for them to have fun and enjoy learning english. how???????????????
