Software for showing the content of the lesson

Dear members,
Hi, I am a new member here. I would like to have some suggestions from you.
I am a preservise teacher for teaching English as a foreign language in Taiwan. Due to the curriculum, I had opportunities to teach in an elementary school three times. I always used Powepoint slides to show the content of the lesson. But I am just wondering whether there is any other useful software that I can use when I want to present the lesson.
