Before beginning I'd like to say I'm not connected to Developing Teachers in the first post above. I have used the site many times in my teaching & have never paid a penny for anything. I know that they try to cover costs with extra services they offer, in this case the web hosting.
When I came across the second post I thought it unfair to let it go without registering & responding.
1. Why present an offer by trying to trash another offer? Why not just make a new post & let your offer stand on its own? This appears to be a very unprofessional approach. So if you want an unprofessional hosting service you know where to go....
2. The actual offer in the second post is silly. If you offered unlimited space & unlimited bandwidth amongst serious hosting companies you would be laughed out of the room. If you need to verify this, just go to SitePoint.com & then to their web hosting forum the check this out.
http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdi ... ne=-1&f=96
Make a posting to see what they have to say.
The second post looks like someone has got a cheap reseller account together with an off the peg template & hasn't thought much before posting. .
The offer by Developing Teachers is more than reasonable by anybody's judgement - I know quite a bit about web hosting. They are in the ESL/ELT business & are trying to cater for this specialised market. Seems fair enough - I know who I would go with.
Again, I'm not with Developing Teachers but have benefitted through the last few years with my teaching. Just giving something back.
Seems there's another post like this so I'll put this again there.

Hi shores, or should i say Developing teacher? You only joined the forum today according to the forums records?
"I have used the site many times in my teaching & have never paid a penny for anything." Posts = 2, whats going on there?
And I do offer unlimited space and bandwidth and my reseller account is far from cheap, why would other hosting customers laugh at us? Our TOS is viewable content only so I doubt somebody would upload 200GBs worth of HTML files?
You forget something, we are professional web designers so thats why our website looks like a template, its because we made it a template.

Well my friend you sound a bit of a n00b so ill tell you. When developing professional web sites you need to keep in mind "consistancy", this means that the web site must look the same else it looks awful so what you do is your make whats called a "Master Page" and then pages use this master page as a template. So I can add meta tag information on each page rather then one and I can copy the master design to all my pages.
Ah that's different - a template to use throughout the site. I was referring to a template that others can use on their site - off the peg designs.
As you are into a bit of dialogue, what do you think of the first objection to your posting in the first place - to come in & try to trash someone else in an effort to gain attention? Not a very pleasant way to do business, no?
BTW, attention to spelling & punctuation - you're in the right place.
