Are there any software packages for TOEFL iBT?

Post by Vincent » Thu Sep 29, 2005 10:01 pm

Hello,

My company, ACT360 Media, is the developer of TestDEN.com. We are currently finishing our TOEFL iBT training program for reading, listening, speaking, and writing. This is the perfect solution for schools and institutions offering TOEFL iBT test prep courses.

Since the iBT was just released in USA, we are curious to know how teachers and schools will be preparing students for the iBT. What software packages are being used to teach speaking and writing?

From our student testers here in Vancouver, BC using the ETS demo, the initial feedback seems to be:

- Listening and Reading passages are longer and harder
- The easiest section, Structure, is no longer included so easy points are harder to come by.
- Speaking is harder than the students expected.

We are curious to know what TEFL teachers in the rest of the world think about the TOEFL iBT

Regards,
Vincent
