Several years ago, I wanted to create some written exercises using the IPA characters. I struggled with keyboard mapping software successfully, but figured that most ESL teachers would not want to do so. To put a long story short, I started to create an IPA word processor called Phonetercise which puts a virtual keyboard on the screen. All you have to do is click on the IPA characters to put them in a document. While the program is not completed, it is fully functional and works on Microsoft Windows based computers. I am looking for a limited number of people to test the software FREE. There is absolutely no catch at all other than providing me with comments.
