Other helpful tools in a target language

Post by NatalieGagnonULAVAL » Thu Feb 24, 2011 2:44 pm

Some of the greatest ways to develop an ease with the desired target language are simply the most basic and pleasant ones: television and music. Unconsciously, when listening to music in another language, we develop a phonetic adaptation to their pronunciation or intonations all while learning new vocabulary words which we sometimes do not know what they mean just yet but finally understand with the context. This is pretty similar with watching television in another language, allowing us to use our sense of deduction even more when we can see the gestures and emotions attached to a specific vocabulary or emotion.
