Application and starting

Post by Ebia » Sun Oct 05, 2014 3:31 pm

Hey there,

I am currently travelling around Europe, and while seeking inspiration for how to pursue my future, I came across the concept of teaching English abroad with a TOEFL.

This is pretty much a sure-fire thing I will do. I plan to start ASAP and teach English in Japan. The question that concerns me is when will this be possible?
I.e. do I have to wait until the schools semesters start in September or are there positions starting all over the year?

The answers may only be pertinent to a beginner without a university degree.

I am also curious how flexible my options are in regards to what kind of establishment I work within, where I am working, etc. as I would like to find a nice area in Japan with a school that I will feel comfortable teaching in.

Thank you!

Luke

It is hard to get a job without a university degree in Japan. You can send resumes for a job on Dave's job board.
