Spain TEFL or TOEFL or CELTA?

I am confused. I want to teach English abroad. I live in Texas. I have heard that it would be better to get the TEFL so my jobs would not be limited to just adults. I am planning on doing the International TEFL program in Barcelona.
Is there any difference between TEFL and TOEFL?
What are some great programs in Spain for this?
Any thoughts on this program? Would CELTA be better? Also, any ideas on how I could prolong my visa from tourist status?
Thanks
Joe

there are lots of good courses in Spain - Barcelona seems to be the busiest place at the moment.
if you can, do a CELTA or Trinity TESOL - they're both good for teaching adults - the nearest thing to industry standard qualifications.
the bad news is .....there's a lot of competition. when I did the Cert (at Oxford TEFL - v. good) there were 4 places offering CELTA or Cert Trinity courses there - I think there are double figures now. that tells you that there are a lot of teachers hanging around in Spain after they've qualified, and even worse for you is that a lot of them will have EU passports making them easier (and cheaper I think) to employ.
if you can get a work visa before you come to europe, do it. if not, think about working outside the cities and seriously about teaching kids - they're the generation of Spaniards getting the most tuition....
sorry to put a downer on it.
do go tho - spain is one of the best countries in the world - life changing.
