short term contracts

I have recently completed my TESL certificate, having already attained a Ba Hons degree in English. I intend to go on next year and start my PGCE year, but first was looking to go abroad(ideally Japan) and gain some classroom experience by teaching out there. Was just wondering if anyone could advise my on whether or not there are such placements that last 3-6 months as opposed to completing a full year??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
