It seems that the 1970's BBC comedy "Mind your language" has found its way onto Google video. Set in the EFL class in a college of further education, it plays on time-worn racial stereotypes. You might want to look at it given its setting and as a cultural period piece. I'm not sure how it fits in with the current popularity of Borat or with the Steve Coogan character of Tony Ferrino. Comments welcome. Be very careful if you ever decide to play it in class.

on bad language being taught in an ESL classroom and I find myslef agreeing with Sarah Young.

I try to include some slang and fairly bad language in my lessons (usu. with teenagers or adults) through authentic materials.

So I think I am going to use these videos too.

I've read your article but I'm not sure if you have watched this video. If anything it contains fewer swear words than most programmes. Possibly even none.

I haven't watched the video yet.

No time between planning lessons, teaching and correcting.

If there is no swearing, that's even better!
