The Net, The Matrix, and Hackers all spring to mind.

Do you want to show them a hollywood film?
Or a more realistic one? How about 23?
My students loved this one:
23
Theplot is based on the true story of a group of young computer hackers from Germany. In the late 1980s the orphaned Karl Koch invests his heritage in a flat and a home computer. He dials up to bulletin boards and he discusses conspiracy theories inspired by his favorite novel, Wilson's "Illuminatus", but soon he and his friend David start breaking into government and military computers. Pepe, one of Karl's criminal friends thinks there is money to be made in computer cracking - he travels to east Berlin and tries to contact the KGB...
One of the guys the film was based on died under weird circumstances.

A movie I enjoyed very much, since I am a computer nut, is "Pirates of Silicon Valley" It is the story of the development of the PC by Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. You can read a review at

However, I haven't been able to find it here in China yet. I'm looking.
