Activities for two teachers and one class

Post by shaxper » Sun Dec 05, 2004 12:59 pm

Hi,

I've been teaching English in China for just over a year and I've yet to figure out what to do with my Chinese assistant. Every now and again, she's absolutely indispensible in translating a word for me. But, for the most part, she has nothing to do.

Any ideas/suggestions for activites that the two of us can do together?

thanks,
duwei

I am currently working with my girlfriend in the language school we started. I am constantly trying to capitalize on having two teachers. Sometimes we do activities where she prepares one group while I prepare the other, say for a debate, and then have them interact. Please note I don´t like debates, but choose to do "constructive contriveries", at least I think thats what they were called. They are not so competitive and very productive. I would like to know some activities we could use as well. Generally we develop the activities with the students, so I don´t do what I plan or hoped to do anyway.
