How possible is it for an American to teach ESL in the UK? Very difficult? I have an MA in TESL and about 2 years experience. I'd love to move to London, but am wondering how feasible that is? Anyone have any advice for gaining employment there?
Thanks!

I don't know what legal hoops you have to jump through to work in the UK, but I have worked with Americans in language schools over this side of the pond and know it can be done.
As far as ease of finding employment goes, a lot of EFL work in the UK is seasonal; in the summer months you have work coming out of your ears, but if you want to hold on to your job in the autumn you may need to impress. Permanent contracts in private language schools, in my experience, are like gold dust, though if you have the right qualifications and enough experience you may find an opening in a Further Education College.
Hope this helps.
