Developing self confidence in children

Post by David26 » Thu Nov 15, 2007 9:30 am

What teachers has to do to develop self confidence in children?

Children learn a lot at school. Not only do they learn the basic subjects - reading, writing, math, social studies, etc - but they learn important life skills and lessons as well.

Children learn important lessons at school, such as time-management skills, organizational skills and communication skills. They learn through trial and error how to navigate their world.

Many of these skills are things that can only be learned through doing.

Tips for helping children gain confidence.

Teach Independence.
Keep track of their progress.
Encourage new experiences.
Be patient.
Teach by example.
Take time for kids.

I have some advice on how to develop self confidence in students:
1. make the homework and examination not too difficult
2. access the students teamly not individually
3. encourage their progress timely
4. avoid comparing students' grades
