A peek at a pique (or peak?)

Larry
I've just come back to the forum after a long absence, and just want to say thanks for your reference to "WebWord" that I hadn't come across before. Very useful for quick checks while on line.

I'm probably also the last to have found www.etymonline.com :?: Like "WebWord", it's free, its entries are fairly brief, but it's probably a good starting point and readily available for a quick reference during an on-line discussion.

All the best, folks, for the christmas holiday, whether you're in sun or snow.
Norm.

Norm!

How nice it is to hear from you again. I'd wondered where you were hiding. I miss your excellent comments. Thanks for the good wishes for the holidays, and all the same to you and your family. Same goes for all the folks here on this forum, and all our English learning and teaching colleagues around the world. Merry Christmas. Happy Hannukah. And let's hope 2004 is a great year for all of us.
