Looking for Advise on private students

Hello,

I am looking for advise on making a living on private students alone. I have just received a TEFL certification and I also have a BA. I am currently in Istanbul and have hear about how poor the language center jobs are here and how large of a market there is for private students, but I am a bit concerned as this is not as clearly cut a path as getting a job with a school of some kind. Any advice or personal stories would be useful.
