Becoming a teacher trainer: DELTA v. Master's

A question for any Teacher trainers out there:

Is it possible to become a teacher trainer if you have some sort of relevant Master's degree (curriculum development or TESOL)? Or is a basically a situation where a DELTA is a necessity for that type of position?
