Is TESL certificate required?

Hello,
I am looking to go abroad (internationally from Italy to South Korea) and teach ESL for a couple of years. I have a BA, but do not have a TESL certificate.
Is the TESL/TOESL/CELTA certificatation is necessary to teach adults abroad?
