Ideas for a volunteer training on ESL resources

Post by kannesee » Wed Dec 22, 2004 2:28 am

In a few weeks I will be leading a workshop for our volunteer ESL tutors called "Exploring and Connecting with Resources for ESL." I have an idea of what I'd like it to look like: give ideas of what to look for in a good resource, give some examples of resources I've found helpful and to bring in sample texts for the volunteers to "rate." I'm wondering what you fellow instructors would say are the most important things to look for in a good resource? And if you might have any other ideas that would help with the workshop? Thanks for time!
