Hi All,
I am looking for a site that has news programs with English exercises for my students.
My two favorites are www.breakingnewsenglish.com and http://www.voanews.com/specialenglish/index.cfm
However, my students complain about the first one because the speaker does not have an "American" English accent and the second site is too slow.
So, basically, does anybody know of a site like www.breakingnewsenglish.com but with an "American" English speaker?
I've checked out democracynow.com, but those discussions are way over my students heads.
Thanks in advance!
What is a good EFL news program site???

I don't know any site with current news that changes every day, but there are two sites with a lot of stories, the first is http://www.cdlponline.org/
from the California distance Learning Project. You select a topic at the top, and there is a list of stories, some with video, and some activities that go along.
The second is http://www.literacynet.org/cnnsf/archives.html (I gave the URL for the archives, which lists all the stories.) After you choose a story, you can either read it or watch it, and there are exercises as well.
