Beginner´s self-study
Hi. I´m starting a 200-hour course on Monday and have given my students a level test. While most have a pretty basic level, there is one who has never done any English at all. I have no option on this - she has to be included in the class to make up numbers. I would like to know if anyone has any experience of giving someone in such a sotuation some kind of self-study material. In principle, she should be able to have her own materials if necessary, and work on tapes with earphones while the rest of the class are working on something else. I would like some materials so that she can be as independent as possible, as my experience of this type of situation is that the little time you do have with these students is spent correcting their work, rather than on practice. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
