Donated Resources?

I am volunteering at my church teaching ESL to local Hispanic migrants in the area. We have a very limited budget and so have very little materials to use. Does anyone know of some avenues to explore to seek donated ESL materials? Flash cards, books, etc. would be great. These men, for the most part, speak no or very little English and mainly need to learn enough to function on the job. Thanks for any advice!

Perhaps, you could try phoning around the schools in your city and asking if they have any resources they don't need any more. Local teachers might have bundles of stuff lying around their homes that are just taking up space. Doesn't hurt to ask.

What Iain says might also be true of local branches of your public library. Here, they are often linked with high schools and carry language learning materials, although I guess by the time they're superseded they might be a bit worse for the wear. In any case, the librarians might be able to give you some ideas for finding materials elsewhere.
Good luck.
